Dodger Stadium.
Other Major League Baseball teams have been saying goodbye to their old stadiums and trading up for newer digs, but not the Los Angeles Dodgers. Since 1962, they've called Dodger Stadium home after a few years spent at the Los Angeles Coliseum. Dodger Stadium is one of the oldest professional baseball stadiums in the country and also one of the largest. The stadium boasts views of the San Gabriel Mountains, Elysian Hills, and downtown Los Angeles.
Staples Center.
Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles is within walking distance of Rodeway Inn Convention Center LA. The Center is home to several professional teams including basketball's LA Lakers and Clippers; the WNBA's LA Sparks; and ice hockey's LA Kings. These championship teams draw visitors enjoy at Staples Center. Figure-skating competitions, all-star games, and even the Grammy Awards have taken place at Staples The Center certainly isn't just for sports fans. Big name entertainers such as Justin Timberlake, the Eagles, the Dixie Chicks, and Shakira have performed unforgettable concerts here as well.
Los Angeles Coliseum.
The LA Coliseum has hosted a variety of events, including Super Bowls, Olympic Games, and the World Series. Primarily, it's the field of the University of Southern California Trojans football team. Since 1923, the Trojans have called the Coliseum home turf. Additionally, the Coliseum has seen its share of memorable non-sports events like concerts by musical powerhouses U2, the Rolling Stones, and Pink Floyd. There have been other historic moments made at the Coliseum, like visits from Nelson Mandela and Pope John Paul II. Visitors today revel under an improved sound system and LED video board, all part of the enhancements for a world-class experience.
Galen Center.
Trojan fans have an awesome venue for cheering on their team in Galen Center. The arena opened for use in the fall of 2006 on the USC campus. It serves two types of sporting events, basketball and volleyball. Not only does it provide spectators with state-of-the-art seating and video screens; behind the scenes, the locker rooms, workout rooms, and administrative offices afford comfortable spaces for teams and staff when they're off the court. High school athletes get to use Galen Center when the Trojans aren't, and it is also the site of concerts and community events.
