Hooray for Hollywood!
Say the word "Hollywood," and what comes to mind? Movie stars, the Hollywood sign, glamour and glitz. Hollywood is all that, but there is so much more. Amazing restaurants, hot nightclubs, deluxe day spas, and cutting edge fashion. Over the last decade, Hollywood has seen a resurgence in its sightseeing appeal, and there's plenty to see and do there. For a first-time visitor, a trip to the Walk of Fame on Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street to see entertainers forever honored with their names emblazoned on stars on the sidewalk is a must. The Hollywood Wax Museum is a great place to get up close to the stars-or at least their wax likenesses.
Beverly Hills Luxe.
Beverly Hills is synonymous with wealth, beauty, and the good life. Shopping along Rodeo Drive is a favorite past time of tourists as well as locals. The famous street is home to such high fashion names as Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, and Harry Winston. Cruising through some of the more opulent addresses is also highly entertaining. Greystone Mansion is one you can actually visit. Once the home of an oil baron, the 18-acre property is now managed by the city. Visit the gardens, pool, and courtyard. Every Sunday morning, there's also a bountiful Beverly Hills farmer's market on Civic Center Drive, featuring fresh California produce and diversions for children as well as adults.
